These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website, qualifications, examinations, membership, and other services offered by the Institute of Wealth and Strategic Asset Management ("IWSAM", "the Institute", "we", "us"). By accessing our website or enrolling in any Institute programme, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Acceptance of terms
By accessing this website, submitting an application, registering for an examination, or applying for membership, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by the Institute's Code of Conduct and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you should not use our services.
Eligibility
Our qualifications, examinations, and membership are intended for working professionals and individuals pursuing a career in wealth and strategic asset management. Certain programmes and membership grades carry specific eligibility requirements, as set out on the relevant pages of this website; the Institute reserves the right to verify eligibility and to decline or revoke enrolment where requirements are not met.
Qualifications & examinations
Registration for an Institute examination does not guarantee a passing result or the award of a qualification. Qualifications are awarded solely on the basis of the Institute's assessment criteria. The Institute reserves the right to:
- Amend examination dates, formats, syllabi, or learning areas from time to time.
- Withhold or withdraw a result where malpractice, misrepresentation, or a breach of examination rules is found.
- Set and vary requirements for resitting an examination.
Membership
Membership is granted at the sole discretion of the Institute, subject to satisfying the relevant qualification, experience, and admission requirements for the grade applied for. Continued membership requires compliance with the Institute's Code of Conduct, completion of annual Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements, and payment of applicable subscriptions. Membership does not constitute a guarantee of employment, business, or professional outcome.
Fees & payment
Fees for examinations, membership, corporate training, and other Institute services are as published on this website or communicated directly at the time of application, and are subject to change. Except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise, fees paid to the Institute are non-refundable, including where an applicant fails to attend an examination, does not achieve a passing result, or is later found ineligible.
User conduct
When using our website or participating in Institute programmes, you agree not to:
- Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information in any application or submission.
- Engage in examination malpractice, including impersonation, plagiarism, or unauthorised assistance.
- Misuse, copy, or redistribute the Institute's designations, examination content, or training materials without authorisation.
- Use the website in a manner that could damage, disable, or impair its operation, or interfere with another user's access.

All content on this website and within Institute programmes — including text, learning materials, examination questions, research publications, logos, and designatory marks such as AIWSAM, MIWSAM, and FIWSAM — is the property of the Institute or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. No content may be reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without the Institute's prior written consent. Professional designatory letters may be used only by members whose membership is current and in good standing.
Website use
This website and its content are provided "as is" for general informational purposes. While the Institute takes reasonable care to keep information accurate and current, we do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components, and we accept no responsibility for reliance placed on website content in place of formal Institute communications.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Institute shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or participation in Institute programmes, including loss of income, business opportunity, or professional advancement. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Suspension & termination
The Institute may suspend or terminate your access to its website or services, and may suspend or withdraw membership, examination eligibility, or a qualification, where a breach of these Terms, the Code of Conduct, or applicable law is found, following the Institute's disciplinary procedures and principles of natural justice.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria, without prejudice to the Institute's own disciplinary procedures for matters of professional conduct.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of our website or services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
